A total of 75 bee species have now been recorded at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park. Records are submitted to national conservation organisations, including the Bees, Wasps & Ants Recording Society (BWARS).

The list below is presented in alphabetical order and includes each species’ scientific name, common name, and conservation status, with notes on local abundance and any species of conservation concern.

Highlights include the Large Scabious Mining Bee (Andrena hattorfiana, Rare), Bombus humilis (Brown-banded Carder Bee, UK BAP Priority), and new colonists such as the Horned Mason Bee (Osmia cornuta) and Viper’s Bugloss Bee (Hoplitis adunca).

Several identifications are currently under review, including Nomada guttulata, pending verification by BWARS.
